The exhibition “What’s your ink?” focuses on using the parameters of the inkblot test to reinterpret and analyze the mental toll that comes along with being a black person in America visually through art. The goal of this exhibition is to bring awareness to the broad range of emotions and experiences that people feel about their blackness.

In this exhibition series, artists and designers will create a new piece of artwork that is inspired by a given theme for that particular exhibition. Themes such as colorism, poverty, microaggressions, etc. will speak to the issues that currently face black Americans and serve as the inspiration for the given exhibition.

This exhibition also creates a space for early-career artists to exhibit their work, something that is especially challenging in the art community because many galleries and institutions focus on established and “emerging” artists, artists that have been “professional working artists” for more than five years.

THIS EXHIBITION IS SET TO OPEN LATE 2020/EARLY 2021.
